Arrive ready to present.

Hello to the new cohort of La Maison des Startups, Season 12. I’ll meet with each of you individually online before October 6 to help prepare your introductory presentation.

Please book a session on September 22 or 24 through my Calendly page.

Come with a complete draft of your presentation and your PowerPoint slides, ready to present from beginning to end. We’ll work together on the story, clarity, timing, visuals, and delivery. The draft need not be perfect; it does need to be complete.

Give them a reason to meet you.

October 6 is one of your first chances to meet the Advisory Board of La Maison des Startups and senior leaders from LVMH and the Maisons. Treat the presentation as an introduction, not a traditional startup pitch. Three minutes cannot explain everything you do, and that is not the goal.

Give the audience one clear, memorable reason to continue the conversation during lunch.

Focus first on what your technology makes possible. What problem could you solve for a Maison? Who benefits? What becomes better, easier, faster, safer, or newly possible? Features matter, but do not spend your three minutes explaining how the technology works.

One use case.
One clear change.

Tell a concrete story. If you are working with an LVMH Maison, use that experience. If you are not, choose a particular Maison, team, or business function and show how your solution could help in one specific situation. Make it easy to picture your product at work.

Problem —> Solution —> Transformation

Problem

What concrete challenge exists today inside a Maison?

Solution

Show how your product addresses it in one specific use case.

Transformation

What changes in time, cost, quality, employee or customer experience, revenue, risk, or sustainability?

By the end, someone on the Advisory Board should know exactly which team ought to meet your company.

Talk with your audience

Use as few slides as your story needs. They should help people see and understand your point, not document every feature. If the audience is reading, they are no longer listening.

Keep slides visual

No bullet points. Use images, simple diagrams, strong headlines, and minimal text.

Use PowerPoint

All presentations will be assembled into one master file, so your slides must be in PowerPoint.

Keep video brief

If you use video, make it short and visual. Tell the story yourself with a live voiceover.

Practice the whole three minutes

Present from beginning to end in your coaching session so we can work on timing and delivery.

The conversation is the point.

This event is a chance to meet people across LVMH, learn what matters to them, and help them understand what you can make possible.

Many of you are working at the frontier of AI and other emerging technologies. The presentation can open the door to human connections and meaningful collaborations. Please read this guidance carefully and let me know if you have questions.
